What are your hours?
Wednesday-Saturday 5-10 p.m., Sunday 5-9 p.m., closed Monday and Tuesday

When did you open?
January 15, 2021: opened our doors for takeaway only!
May 26, 2021: opened our seasonal patio!
June 30, 2021: began accepting dining room reservations!
November 6, 2021: launched our wine program!

Does Dear Margaret charge corkage?
Corkage is a courtesy for guests who wish to bring a special bottle of wine for their meal at our restaurant. We offer a fun (and affordable!) wine program with lots of hidden gems; as such, our corkage fee is $40 /bottle, limited to 1 bottle per couple.

Does Dear Margaret take reservations?
We accept reservations via Tock for parties up to 4. For parties of 5-6, please call 773-360-8213 or email. We do not accept reservations larger than 6. Waitlists are also open by day on Tock. More information on reservations here.

Are you accepting walk-ins?
A dining room reservation is highly recommended and nearly always required on the weekends. The patio, however, is first-come, first-served (cannot be reserved; available for walk-ins).

Can I order to-go?
No, we no longer offer takeout. Our kitchen is too busy to handle it now!

Does Dear Margaret have a patio?
Our patio is closed for the season. During patio season, outdoor dining is first-come, first-served, and weather-permitting. We kindly request a two-hour maximum dining experience on the patio to allow us to accommodate additional guests each evening.

Where do I park?
Metered parking is available on Lincoln Ave. Free street parking may be available on Wellington Ave. We do not offer valet parking.

How do I purchase a gift certificate?
Request a gift certificate here. You can pay when you pick up at the restaurant, or we will call you to settle payment. We offer paper gift certificates only, no digital certificates.

Will you donate a gift certificate to my organization/cause?
We do love our neighbors and wish we could support all the area schools and other organizations! A great way to support your organization and a small independent neighborhood business like ours is to purchase a gift certificate here of any amount, which you can in turn donate. Thanks for understanding.
